A method for recording mobile phone television program is provided, the method could timing record the mobile phone television program, said method includes: the mobile terminal generates and saves one or more pieces of recording program request information according to the user’s setting, said recording program request information includes the information of the mobile phone television program which needs recording, the information of the record start time and the information of the record end time, when the record start time comes, the mobile terminal automatically turns on the mobile phone television client terminal to receive the data of the mobile phone television program which needs recording, writes into the local file system of the mobile terminal; a mobile terminal for timing recording the mobile phone television program is also provided, which includes a mobile phone television client terminal, a recording request generating unit, a recording control unit and a storage unit.
