Abstract:
The disclosed mobile terminal has: a tilt measurement unit which measures the tilt of the mobile terminal; a modification unit which modifies the display direction of content which is to be displayed on a display screen of the mobile terminal in response to the condition of the user holding the portable terminal; a detection unit which detects a tilt change event when the tilt measured by the tilt measurement unit changes by at least a predetermined value; a status observation unit which, when a tilt change event is detected by the detection unit, observes whether the tilt change event is detected within a first time duration after the tilt change event is detected; a setting unit which reduces the operation interval of the modification unit by a predetermined amount of time if a tilt change event is not detected even after the first period of time passes; and an operation control unit which operates the modification unit at operation intervals set by an operation interval setting unit.
