Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention pertains to a mobile terminal having an autonomous navigation function, said mobile terminal comprising: a map application which performs map matching on the current position of the mobile terminal on a route from a departure place to a destination of a user of the mobile terminal in map information; a measurement unit which detects the movement of the mobile terminal, and which provides sensor information representing the user's movement; a position calculation unit which calculates the amount that the mobile terminal has moved from a reference position on the basis of the sensor information, and which calculates the current position of the mobile terminal on the basis of the calculated amount of movement and the reference position; and a re-routing detection unit which compares a first distance between the calculated current position of the mobile terminal and the reference position, with a second distance between the map-matched current position of the mobile terminal and the reference position, and then requests the route to be searched again by the map application if the first distance is determined as being sufficiently longer than the second distance.
