Abstract:

Disclosed is a mobile terminal with touch panel function that allows easier selection of target keys, allows determination at time of touching, improves user-friendliness when a user is inputting characters, and also allows high speed key inputting. The mobile terminal with touch panel function has a display unit for displaying a plurality of keys arranged on a keyboard on a screen, a touch panel unit for identifying the location on the screen of the display unit touched by a finger of a user, and a control unit for determining which key was pressed by comparing the location identified by the touch panel unit and the location of each key on the keyboard displayed on the screen by the display unit. The control unit controls so as to vary the display status of the keys on the keyboard on the screen of the display unit, based on whether the keys are keys that have a low probability of being pressed by the user or a high probability of being pressed by the user.
