General Description

The present application describes a mobility device to allow the displacement of monoblocks between two distinct horizontal levels, a lower level and an upper level, or vice versa.

The developed device is comprised of a support structure on which a movable base is assembled, which in turn is coupled to a spindle installed in said support structure through bearings. The spindle is connected to a motor, by means of an elastic joint, which transmits a rotational movement thereto. The rotational movement of the spindle is transformed into linear movement of the movable base which is coupled thereto, along the longitudinal axis of the support structure, by means of a central nut. To ensure correct alignment and displacement of the movable base, the support structure comprises two linear guides, in which sliding skids belonging to the movable base are inserted and operate.

In order to ensure the attachment of the monoblock intended to displace to the movable base, it further comprises central attachment hooks. This attachment mechanism of the movable base is complemented by the use of front attachment hooks, installed at the top of the support structure, and which guarantee the attachment of the monoblock at a final position. The front attachment hooks may be coupled with unlocking rods, the actuation of said hooks being undertaken by an unlocking lever.

The support structure further comprises a cover, which is installed therein by two hinges, operating as a connecting ramp between the two horizontal levels. The control of the cover is carried out by a loading system, which keeps it closed during the operation of the device.

Description of the embodiments

With reference to the figures, some embodiments are now described in more detail, which are however not intended to limit the scope of the present application. In a particular embodiment, the developed mobility device is employed to aid the entry or exit of stretchers or wheelchairs in transport vehicles, between a lower level, that of the ground, and an upper level, that of the vehicle, or vice versa, in an effortless manner for the operator. For this purpose, the mobility device is placed on the upper level, that of the vehicle, the end of the cover (10) being in contact with the lower level, that of the ground, aligned with the front wheels of the stretcher or wheelchair, thus serving as a ramp.

The mobility device is comprised of a support structure (1) on which a movable base (4) is assembled, which in turn is coupled to a spindle (6) installed in said support structure (1) by means of bearings (8) . The spindle (6) is connected to a motor (5), by means of an elastic joint (7), which transmits a rotational movement thereto. In a particular embodiment, the motor (5) is of the electric type. The rotational movement of the spindle (6) is transformed into linear movement of the movable base (4) which is coupled thereto, along the longitudinal axis of the support structure (1), by means of a central nut (9) . To ensure correct alignment and displacement of the movable base (4), the support structure (1) comprises two linear guides (2), in which the sliding skids (3) of the movable base (4) are inserted and operate.

The support structure (1) further comprises a cover (10), which is installed therein by two hinges (11) . The cover

(10) operates as a ramp making the connection between the lower level and the upper level. The control of the cover

(10) is carried out by a loading system, which keeps it closed. The attachment of the stretcher or wheelchair intended to be moved to the movable base (4) is carried out by means of central attachment hooks (13), installed in the movable base (4) . This attachment mechanism of the movable base (4) is complemented by the use of front attachment hooks (12), installed at the top of the support structure (1), and which guarantee the attachment of the stretcher or wheelchair at a final position. The central attachment hooks (13) are actuated by an unlocking lever.

In a particular embodiment, the support structure (1) further comprises silent blocks, intended to absorb the vibrations of the displacement of the movable base (4) .

In another particular embodiment, the mobility device comprises working indication light signals. The light signals are of the LED type.

In another particular embodiment of the mobility device, the support structure (1) comprises a cover base of the movable base (4) . In yet another embodiment, the support structure (1) further comprises a motor cover base (5) .

The present description is of course in no way restricted to the embodiments presented herein and a person of ordinary skill in the art may provide many possibilities of modifying it without departing from the general idea as defined in the claims. The preferred embodiments described above are obviously combinable with each other. The following claims further define preferred embodiments.
