Abstract:
The present invention provides a mobility management method and apparatus, the method comprising: a mobility management device receiving a handover required message; and if handover type information is parsed from the handover required message, triggering handover indicated by the handover type information. By carrying the handover type information in the handover required message, the present invention enables the mobility management device to determine a triggered handover type according to the handover type information.
