Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate the field of communications. Disclosed are a mobility management method, a base station and a wearable device, which resolve the problems of serious power consumption of a WD and increased processing burden of a network side. A specific solution comprises: a source base station receives a measurement report sent by a WD, and when it is determined that signal quality of a currently-camping cell measured by the WD is lower than a first measurement threshold and signal quality of each neighboring cell is higher than a third measurement threshold, the base station determines that a handover needs to be performed on the WD , and determines, according to a received signal quality indication obtained by the WD, that a joint handover needs to performed on the WD and a UE, determines a first destination cell according to an identifier of the neighboring cell, and sends a first handover request comprising a first relay indication to a first destination base station corresponding to the first destination cell. The embodiments of the present invention are used in a mobility management process.
