Abstract:
The invention relates to the motor industry, in particular to a mode of operation for a gas-internal combustion engine (GCE). The mixture of gas fuel and an oxidizing compound is supplied in the compression GCE with an excess oxidant ratio higher than 0.8. Said mixture is compressed by means of a working member (for example, by piston, rotor etc) until auto-ignition, followed by formation of combustion materials and mechanical work is obtained. The working volume of the compression GCE can be supplied with a mixture of a gas fuel, an oxidizing compound, a portion of combustion materials, water or water vapor, additives initiating the auto-ignition process of the mixture and extending the limits of steady-state combustion. The compression GCE can be provided with an additional ignition system (a spark electric ignition, fuel injection, etc).
