Abstract:
Disclosed is a model component detachment jig that allows detaching of model components from runners simply and without causing finger strain. The model component detachment jig detaches model components (105) from a plastic mold for use with models that is formed in a unitary manner from runners, model components (105), and connection members (106) that connect the runners and the model components (105). The jig comprises a jig main body (11), and a pair of hook portions (12, 12) that have a width greater than the outer diameter width of the connection members (106) and are disposed in an extended manner in parallel with one another outwardly from one end of the jig main body (11), wherein the lengths of the pair of hook portions (12, 12) are such that, when the pair of hook portions (12, 12), being inserted from an obverse surface (105a) of the model component (105) to the other surface (105b) thereof, sandwich the connection member (106), the hook end portions (12a, 12a) of the hook portions (12, 12) are capable of catching and fitting tightly upon the other surface (105b) of the model component (105).
