Abstract:
A model compression method and a device. The method comprises: performing binary encoding on a network structure of an uncompressed generator model, and obtaining a first-generation sub-group of network structures of M first-generation generator sub-models (S402); acquiring a fitness value of a network structure of each of the first-generation generator sub-models (S403); determining, according to the fitness value and a genetic algorithm, a network structure of an Nth-generation generator sub-model having an optimal fitness value in an Nth sub-group (S404), wherein a difference between an average value of fitness values of network structures of M Nth-generation generator sub-models in the Nth sub-group and an average value of fitness values of network structures of M (N-1)th-generation generator sub-models in an (N-1)th sub-group is less than a preset value; and determining a compressed generator model according to a network parameter in the uncompressed generator model and the network structure of the Nth-generation generator sub-model having the optimal fitness value (S405). The method solves the problem in which existing compression algorithms do not provide a satisfactory result when directly applied to a generator model.
