Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a model configuration method, for a finite element model used in a forming simulation, that can execute a metal plate forming simulation with high accuracy and efficiency. [Solution] A model configuration method of the present invention uses a finite element method to configure, by means of a processor provided to a computer, a finite element model for simulating the formation of a metal plate by a forming tool. In the configuration of a forming tool model expressing the forming tool, at least a portion of a metal plate contact face within the forming tool model that contacts the metal plate is configured to be a surface layer having the properties of an elastic body or elastoplastic body. A portion within the forming tool model that supports the surface layer is configured to be a substrate having the properties of a rigid body.
