Abstract:
A device for modeling observation data, equipped with: a database unit storing environmental data-based numerical models with which observation data can be obtained, parameter-based statistical models, and region information including points at which observation data are obtained; a data read unit for acquiring the observation data and the environmental data; and a modeling processing unit for applying the numerical models or the statistical models. The modeling processing unit calculates model outputs at the respective points included in the region information by applying the acquired environmental data to the numerical models, calculates parameters from the acquired observation data when differences between the calculated model outputs and the acquired observation data are determined as being equal to or greater than a preset threshold value, and applies the statistical models using the calculated parameters.
