In the present invention, a modeling system for forming a three-dimensional model atop a target surface (TAS) using beams is provided with: a beam emission unit (520) for emitting beams (LB1, LB2) passing through optical paths inclined with respect to an axis (AX); a material supply part (530) having a material supply port and supplying along the axis (AX) a powdery modeling material (PD) to be irradiated with the beams from the beam emission unit; a cover member (30) having an inner surface which progressively converges from one end to the other end and an exit formed on the other end for the beams from the beam emission unit to pass therethrough; and a gas supply device (42) for supplying, via a gas supply port, an inert gas into a space (30a) enclosed by the cover member. The inert gas flows to the outside of the space via the exit in the cover member, and the modeling material is supplied to the outside of the space via the exit in the cover member.
