Abstract:

Provided is a peptide containing an amyloid beta sequence as a base sequence, which is safe as a preventive or therapeutic agent for Alzheimer's disease and can effectively enhance immune response. An amyloid beta peptide or a partial peptide thereof, in which cysteine or an analog thereof is added or inserted, and a method for enhancing immune response to amyloid beta using the peptide. A preventive or therapeutic agent for Alzheimer's disease using the amyloid beta peptide which enhances immune response. A DNA vaccine which is expected to have the same effect and contains a gene encoding the amyloid beta peptide or a peptide derived therefrom, in which cysteine is added or inserted.
