Abstract:
Disclosed is a cellulose fiber which enables the production of a cellulose complex having high transparency, a low linear expansion coefficient and a high elastic modulus. Specifically disclosed are: a process for producing a modified cellulose fiber, which comprises a modification reaction step of reacting a cellulose with an aromatic compound in an organic acid to modify the cellulose with an aromatic-ring-containing substituent; a cellulose fiber modified with an aromatic-ring-containing substituent; a dispersion of the cellulose fiber; and a cellulose fiber complex produced using the dispersion.
