Abstract:
The present invention provides a modified epoxidized rubber, a preparation method therefor, and use thereof. The modified epoxidized rubber is obtained from the following components: an epoxidized rubber or an epoxidized elastomer and a polyether compound. The polyether compound is one or more of polyether alcohols, polyether amines, polyether carboxylic acids, polyether sulfhydryls, and polyether epoxides. In the present invention, an epoxy bond ring-opening graft modification is carried out on the epoxidized rubber or the epoxidized elastomer by the polyether compound, so that the polarity of the epoxidized rubber or the epoxidized elastomer is reduced, the flexibility of the molecular chain is improved, and particularly, the glass transition temperature Tg of the modified epoxidized rubber and epoxidized elastomer can be reduced. By means of the epoxy bond ring-opening, a stable bond is formed and a stable structure is introduced into a side chain, so that the temperature resistance, particularly the low-temperature resistance, of the epoxidized rubber is enhanced.
