Title:
MODIFIED FIBROIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/022163
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to modified fibroin containing a domain sequence represented by formula 1: [((A)n motif)-REP]m or formula 2: [((A)n motif)-REP]m-((A)n motif), wherein the domain sequence has an amino acid sequence having a reduced glutamine residue content in association with the deletion of one or multiple glutamine residues in REP or the substitution of one or multiple glutamine residues in REP by another amino acid residues. [In formula 1 and formula 2, "(A)n motif" represents an amino acid sequence composed of 4 to 27 amino acid residues, wherein the ratio of the number of alanine residues relative to the total number of amino acid residues in "(A)n motif" is 80% or more; "REP" represents an amino acid residue composed of 10 to 200 amino acid residues; m represents an integer of 10 to 300; and multiple pieces of "(A)n motifs" or the like may have the same amino acid sequence as each other or may have different amino acid sequences from each other.]
