Title:
MODIFIED MATERIAL, AND NITROGEN-CONTAINING ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE CARBON
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/029840
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a modified material which can exhibit an excellent redox activity in a redox reaction accompanied by the transfer of electrons and therefore can be used suitably as a material for forming an electrode catalyst for a fuel cell. The modified material can be produced by subjecting a mixture of a nitrogen-containing electrically conductive carbon and a metal complex to any one modification treatment selected from a heating treatment, a radioactive ray irradiation treatment and a discharging treatment, wherein the nitrogen-containing electrically conductive carbon is formed by reacting a functional group or a multiple bond in an electrically conductive carbon with a nitrogen-containing compound.
