Abstract:

A modified polymer having a hydroxy value of 1 to 100 mg-KOH/g which is obtained by causing a cyclized conjugated-diene polymer (a) having a degree of cyclization of 30 to 95% to add a compound (b) having a hydroxy group and a polymerizable unsaturated bond; and a coating material containing the modified polymer. The coating material is useful as a primer for imparting adhesion properties to the surfaces of various moldings, especially polyolefin resin moldings, or as a coating composition or ink having satisfactory adhesion properties.
