Abstract:
The present invention can provide an ion exchange membrane for a fuel cell, the ion exchange membrane comprising polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) hydrophilically modified through a reaction with a modification mixture solution containing a phenolic compound and polyethyleneimine (PEI), wherein the modified polytetrafluoroethylene is coated with a hydrocarbon-based polymer, whereby the ion exchange membrane exhibits excellent mechanical properties and improved dimensional stability and can be prevented from decreasing in ion conductivity.
