Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a modified solid polyalkylaluminoxane with which it is possible to obtain a high-activity olefin oligomerization reaction catalyst and to produce α-olefin while minimizing the adhesion of byproduct polymer to the walls of the reactor and stirrer, and a catalyst for an olefin oligomerization reaction containing this modified solid polyalkylaluminoxane. The present invention pertains to a modified solid polyalkylaluminoxane for an olefin oligomerization reaction, the modified solid polyalkylaluminoxane having a structural unit shown by general formula (a) and a structural unit shown by general formula (b), and having a median size of from 0.1 to 50 μm.
