Abstract:
[Problem] In a modular data center and a control method therefor, to increase air-conditioning efficiency of the data center. [Solution] A modular data center: provided with a case (21), an air-conditioner (31), a fan unit (38) and an electronic device (44); and wherein a first intake opening (21a) and a second intake opening (21b) are each provided on a different surface (21x, 21y) of the case (21). Said case (21) is provided with the first intake opening (21a), the second intake opening (21b) and an exhaust opening (21c). Said air-conditioner (31) is provided within the case (21), takes in outside air (A) from the first intake opening (21a), and generates a first air current (B1), bringing the outside air (A) into direct contact with a coolant (W). Said fan unit (38) is provided within the case (21), and generates a second air current (B2), introducing the outside air (A) from the second intake opening (21b). Said electronic device (44) is provided within the case (21), is air-cooled by a mixture air current (C) that is a mixture of the first air current (B1) and the second air current (B2), and releases a post-air-cooling exhaust air current (E) from the exhaust opening (21c).
