Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve reduced power consumption while preventing insufficient cooling of electronic devices in a modular data center and a control method therefor. [Solution] A modular data center equipped with: fans (3a) that generate a first cooling breeze (B1); air conditioners (5) that generate a second cooling breeze (B2); electronic devices (6) that draw in the cooling breezes (B1, B2); and a control unit (20) that adjusts the flow volume of the first cooling breeze (B1), thereby cooling the temperature of the electronic devices (6) to a specified temperature (Ts). When a first assumed value (P1) for the assumed combined air-conditioning power of the air conditioners (5) and the fans (3a) when the air conditioners (5) are stopped and the temperature of the electronic devices (6) is cooled to the specified temperature (Ts) by the first cooling breeze (B1) is less than the current value (P0), the air conditioners (5) are stopped, and when a second assumed value (P2) for the assumed air-conditioning power when the air conditioners (5) are operated and the temperature of the electronic devices (6) is cooled to the specified temperature (Ts) by the first cooling breeze (B1) and the second cooling breeze (B2) is less than the current value (P0), the air conditioners (5) are operated.
