Abstract:
[Problem] To increase datacenter air-conditioning efficiency in a modular datacenter and a method for controlling same. [Solution] This modular datacenter is characterized by being provided with: a casing (21) provided with a first intake opening (21a), a second intake opening (21b), and a discharge opening (21c); an air conditioner (31) that is provided within the casing (21), takes in outside air (A) from the first intake opening (21a), and generates a first airflow (B1) by directly contacting the outside air (A) to a coolant (W); a fan unit (38) that is provided within the casing (21) and generates a second airflow (B2) by taking in outside air (A) from the second intake opening (21b); and an electronic apparatus (44) that is provided within the casing (21), is exposed to the mixed airflow (C) of the first airflow (B1) and the second airflow (B2), and causes a discharge airflow (E) containing the mixed airflow (C) to be released from the discharge opening (21c). The modular datacenter is further characterized by each of the first intake opening (21a) and the second intake opening (21b) being provided to the same surface (21y) of the casing (21).
