Title:
MODULAR FLUID VALVE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/204656
Kind Code:
A4
Abstract:
Embodiments include a fluid valve with a modular and/or replaceable fluid control assembly configured and arranged to require maintenance over a product life of the fluid valve. The modular and/or replaceable fluid control assembly includes at least one portion including a setting or presetting configured and arranged to control fluid flow behavior in the fluid valve. The setting or presetting is useable to control fluid flow in the modular and/or replaceable fluid control assembly after an upgrade or replacement of at least a portion of the modular and/or replaceable fluid control assembly. Further, the setting or presetting enables the modular and/or replaceable fluid control assembly to retain the fluid flow behavior following one or more upgrades or replacements of one or more portions of the modular and/or replaceable fluid control assembly.

1-20. (Cancelled)

21. (New) A system for contro!lab!y supplying fluid comprising:

a reservoir;

a fluid bowl; and

a modular fluid control assembly comprising:

a fill valve module configured and arranged to be removed and replaced;

a fill manifold structure; and

a diverter valve;

wherein said fill valve module is configured and arranged to supply fluid to both the reservoir and the fluid bo l;

wherein said fill manifold structure comprises a water channel directed to the reservoir;

wherein at least a portion of the diverter valve is coupled with the fill manifold structure; and

wherein the diverter valve is configured and arranged to control a specific amount of fluid to the reservoir.

22. (New) The system of claim 21 ,

wherein the fill valve module is configured and arranged to be removed from the fill manifold structure.

23. (New) The system of claim 21 ,

wherein the diverter valve comprises a variably closable channel.

24. (New) The system of claim 21 ,

wherein the modular fluid control assembly further comprises:

a setting or presetting configured and arranged to control fluid flow behavior in the fluid valve; and

wherein the setting or presetting can enable the modular replaceable fluid control assembly to retain a fluid flow behavior following one or more upgrades or replacements of one or more portions of the modular replaceable fluid control assembly.

17

25. (New) The system of claim 22,

wherein the fill valve module is removably coupled to a fluid supply line.

26. (New) The system of claim 22,

wherein the fill manifold structure comprises two channels; and

wherein one of the two channels is configured and arranged to direct the fluid flow to the reservoir, and a second channel of the two channels is configured and arranged to direct the fluid flow to the fluid bowl.

27. (New) The system of claim 22,

further comprising a flush valve configured and arranged to flush the reservoir.

28. (New) The system of claim 23,

wherein the diverter valve is configured and arranged to control a percentage of outlet water from the fill valve module to the tank reservoir and to the fluid bowl.

29. (New) The system of claim 27,

further comprising an actuator configured and arranged to initiate a flush of the reservoir.

30. (New) The system of claim 29,

wherein the actuator comprises a dual-flush actuator configured and arranged to control two flush volumes exiting the reservoir.

31. (New) A system for controllably supplying fluid comprising:

a reservoir;

a fluid bowl; and

a modular fluid control assembly comprising:

a fill valve module;

a fill manifold structure; and

a level sensor configured and arrange to control fluid flow;

wherein the fill valve module is configured and arranged to be removed from the fill manifold;

wherein the level sensor is moveably coupled (claim 10) to the fill manifold structure; and

18 wherein the level sensor can be set and can remain static without requirement for setting or resetting when other portions of the assembly are replaced.

32. (New) The system of claim 31 ,

wherein the level sensor is a fill valve level sensor configured and arranged to control or set a fluid fill volume.

33. (New) The system of claim 31 ,

wherein the level sensor is a flush valve level sensor configured and arranged to control or set a fluid flush volume.

34. (New) The system of claim 31 ,

wherein the level sensor comprises a fill valve level sensor and a flush valve level sensor;

wherein the fill valve level sensor is configured and arranged to control or set a fluid fill volume; and
