Abstract:
A lift assembly (10) having a drum (160) rotatably mounted to a frame (20) and linearly translatable with respect to the frame (20). A plurality of head blocks (80) are connected to the frame (20) along a helical path, wherein linear translation of the drum (20) during takeoff or take-up maintains a predetermined fleet angle between a take off point from the drum (160) and the head block (80).
