Abstract:
A modular roller conveyor system (10) is disclosed having a first (12, 14) and second pair (16, 18) of elongated vertical supports. The first pair of vertical supports (12, 14) are adjustably secured (58) together so that the first pair of supports (12, 14) are spaced apart and parallel to each other at a user selected spacing between the first pair of vertical supports (12, 14). Similarly, the second pair of vertical supports (16, 18) are also adjustably secured (58) together so that the second pair of vertical supports (16, 18) are spaced apart and parallel to each other at the same user selected spacing. A first elongated rail (20) is then secured to the upper end of one of the first pair of vertical supports (14) and to the upper end of one of the second pair of vertical supports (18). A second rail (22) is then secured to the upper end of the other of both the first (12) and second pair (16) of vertical supports so that the rails (20, 22) are spaced apart and parallel to each other. A plurality of spaced roller assemblies (24) are then disposed between and supported by the rails (20, 22) thus forming the conveyor path along which articles (26) are conveyed.
