Abstract:
The invention relates to a modular device, for installation on façades and/or roofs, for the production of domestic hot water and electricity from solar energy. It consists of at least one photovoltaic glass sheet for the production of electricity, a phase-change material for heat storage and a water-PCM exchanger for the production of domestic hot water. The replacement of conventional photovoltaic panels with photovoltaic glass sheets as proposed by the invention improves both the accumulation of energy - since the solar radiation strikes the dissipator directly - and the resulting aesthetics of the building, by presenting a uniform surface with a great variety of colours. This last aspect would facilitate the architectural integration of this type of device, both in new buildings and in the energy renovation processes of existing buildings.
