Abstract:
Disclosed is a modularized and scalable wavelength and space all-optical router. An input port of a first space optical router is connected to N strings of single-mode input optical fibers, an output port of the first space optical router is connected to various wavelength converters and routing modules and then is connected, via the wavelength converters and the routing modules, to the input port of a second space optical router, the output port of the second space optical router is connected to N strings of single-mode input optical fibers such that each optical signal in an input optical fiber reaches a target output optical fiber; the first and the second space optical routers operate in a mirror way. Used in a wavelength division multiplexed optical fiber communication system, the present invention enables each optical signal to route to any output port from the input port and complete wavelength conversion; by cascade and liner increase on wavelength conversion and routing module, the present invention adds the number of routing channel and realizes more complete routing function. The entire routing structure realizes an integration via planar light waveguide technology.
