Abstract:
Disclosed is a moire metasurface for implementing dynamic beamforming, comprising two close-fit periodic metal pattern layers, a spacer layer, and a metal back plate. Surface impedance distribution is adjusted using a moire pattern formed by means of relative rotation of the two periodic metal patterns, thereby achieving wavefront regulation and control of incident waves, and achieving the goal of dynamic beamforming. According to the present invention, no active device is required, and the cost thereof is greatly reduced compared with a programmable metamaterial using an active component (such as a switch diode or a varactor), a large-scale MIMO, and an active array antenna. In addition, the present invention has the advantages of zero static power consumption and zero reception noise, and is expected to be applied as an intelligent reflector antenna for 6G mobile communication on a large scale. Moreover, due to the purely passive nature of the present invention, it can be applied to high-power microwave scenarios in fields such as radar detection and electronic countermeasures.
