Abstract:

The present invention provides a moisture absorbent-water repellent nonwoven fabric comprising: a nonwoven raw material containing moisture absorbent fibers; and a fluorine coating which is formed on the fibers at the surface of the nonwoven fabric by subjecting the nonwoven raw material to a plasma treatment under a gas containing fluorine molecules. The moisture absorbent-water repellent nonwoven fabric according to the present invention is water repellent while also retaining the inherent moisture absorption content of the moisture absorbent fibers.
