Abstract:
A moisture separator and a steam turbine plant wherein the size of the equipment and manufacturing costs are minimized and performance is improved by being provided with: a hollow body (31) extending in a horizontal direction; a steam inlet (32) provided at an middle part of the body (31) in the long direction; manifolds (35, 36) provided with a plurality of steam outlets (53, 54) along the long direction, a middle part of the manifolds (35, 36) in the long direction communicating with the steam inlet (32) by being provided across a prescribed gap from the inner wall surface of the body (31); moisture separation elements (37, 38) for separating moisture from steam blown out from the plurality of steam outlets (53, 54); and steam exit ports (33, 34) for discharging steam from which moisture has been separated and which flows along the inner walls of the body (31), said outlets being provided in the body (31).
