Abstract:
The principal objective of the present invention is to provide a mold for continuous casting provided with a temperature detecting unit with which the temperature of a mold copper plate can be detected with high precision, and which is simple to attach to and detach from the copper plate. The present invention relates to a mold for continuous casting, which is provided with a mold main body of the mold for continuous casting, and a temperature detecting unit which is inserted into an insertion hole formed in the mold main body and which detects the temperature inside the mold. The temperature detecting unit comprises: a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor inserted into a protecting tube which is deformable in the radial direction; and a supporting member in which a groove is formed in the longitudinal direction, and which supports the FBG sensor in the longitudinal direction. At a temperature detecting point, the protecting tube into which the FBG sensor has been inserted is sandwiched between a tension member, which is stretched over the supporting member in the groove opening part thereof, and an inner surface of the insertion hole.
