Abstract:
A mold device (1) that can produce a member formed from aluminum, is provided with: a mold (10); and a molten metal supply part. The mold (10) can form a cavity (100) that can be filled with molten aluminum metal. The mold (10) has a base portion (111) formed from iron, and a surface portion (113). The surface portion (113) is provided on the cavity (100) side of the base portion (111), and contains at least 20 wt% of chrome. A dichromium trioxide film (114) can be formed on the surface (115) of the surface portion (113) on the cavity (100) side. The molten metal supply part can supply molten aluminum metal to the cavity (100).
