Abstract:
Disclosed is a mold with which a resin shaft-end flange without axis inclination, suitable for a roller for an image forming device including a metal sleeve and resin shaft-end flanges fitted into ends of the metal sleeve, can be formed. Specifically disclosed is a mold (10) for forming a resin shaft-end flange that includes a flange portion and a shaft portion extending from the axial center of the flange portion and that can be fitted into an end of a metal sleeve of a roller for an image forming device, which comprises a flange-portion forming cavity (12) for forming the flange portion and a shaft-portion forming cavity (16) for forming the shaft portion. The inner surface of the shaft-portion forming cavity is formed such that the cross-sectional shape (16TP) of the shaft portion has a rotational symmetry of the nth (where n is an integer greater than or equal to 2) order about the center of axis.
