Title:
MOLD, SUBSTRATE FOR OPTICAL DISK, AND OPTICAL DISK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/018901
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A mold for forming a molded substrate for an optical disk capable of increasing the thickness accuracy of the optical disk formed by the molded substrate by suppressing the occurrence of burrs affecting the optical disk, the substrate for the optical disk capable of increasing the thickness accuracy, and the optical disk with increased thickness accuracy. The mold forms a cavity for molding the molded substrate for the optical disk, installed so that the generally innermost peripheral part of a stamper (23) fitted to the mold to transfer micro structures to the molded substrate is projected to the cavity side, and formed so that the face thereof formed of a mold member forming the inner peripheral part (31) of the molded substrate (30) is positioned at a generally same height as the information area surface (33) thereof on which the micro structures are transferred.
