Abstract:
The present invention provides a molded activated carbon, a preparation method therefor and use thereof. The molded activated carbon comprises: a matrix comprising a carbon-containing substance; and an inorganic binder comprising a low-melting-point glass powder having a melting point of 390°C-1200°C, the matrix being bond to the low-melting-point glass powder by using an organic binder, wherein the usage amount of the low-melting-point glass powder is 5-30%, preferably 5-25%, based on 100% of the total mass of the matrix. The molded activated carbon of the present invention is high in wear resistance and not easy to crush into powder, and a post-treatment device is not needed to purify the tail gas pollutants. Furthermore, the preparation method for the molded activated carbon of the present invention is simple and easy to implement, raw materials are easy to obtain, and the method is suitable for mass production.
