Abstract:

The present application relates to a molded case circuit breaker comprising: a plurality of holders forming fixing contact points; a plurality of movers pivoting through a switch to be capable of connecting to or separating from the plurality of holders, and forming moving contact points facing the fixing contact points; a plurality of arc chambers covering the contact point portions between the plurality of holders and the plurality of movers, and extinguishing arcs generated at the contact point portions; an integrally formed bottom base for individually holding the plurality of movers in the pivoting direction, the plurality of holders, and the plurality of arc chambers; and an integrally formed top base forming a pair with the bottom base, for individually sealing the plurality of movers, the plurality of holders, and the plurality of arc chambers. Therefore, when a short circuit occurs through each phase of sealing and insulation, the infiltration of melted material can be prevented, and the deterioration of insulating properties due to the infiltration of melted material can be prevented, and it is easy to secure short circuit performance by shortening the time for extinguishing an arc occurring due to a rise in internal pressure, and assemblability can be improved as a result of the simple structure wherein components are vertically coupled.
