Abstract:
A molded titanium-containing silicon oxide catalyst satisfying all of the following requirements (1) to (4). (1) the average pore diameter is 10 Å or larger. (2) at least 90% of the volume of all the pores is accounted for by pores having a diameter of 5 to 200 Å. (3) the specific pore volume is 0.2 cm?3¿/g or higher. (4) the molded catalyst is one obtained by using quaternary ammonium ions represented by the following general formula (I): [NR?1¿R?2¿R?3¿R?4¿]?+¿ or an amine represented by the following general formula (II): NR?5¿R?6¿R?7¿ as a molding agent to mold catalyst particles and then removing the molding agent from the resultant molding. (In the formula (I), R?1¿ represents C¿2-36? linear or branched hydrocarbon group; and R?2¿ to R?4¿ each represents C¿1-6? alkyl.) (In the formula (II), R?5¿ represents a C¿2-36? linear or branched hydrocarbon group; and R?6¿ and R?7¿ each represents hydrogen or C¿1-6? alkyl).
