Abstract:
Provided is a molding-machine cylinder that comprises: a framework containing, in a nickel-based alloy base, 20 to 50 area% of tungsten carbide particles and 1 to 10 area% of metallic boron carbide particles composed mainly of tungsten; and a lining layer containing 1 to 7.5 mass% of Fe. The molding-machine cylinder can be produced by a method for centrifugal casting after a raw powder has been heated and melted by a first heating step for heating at more than 1,140°C and less than 1,200°C, and a second heating step for heating at 1,080°C to 1,140°C.
