Abstract:
A surface fastener (1) has walls (4), for preventing intrusion of resin of foaming resin material for molding a cushion body, respectively, at the right and left edges along the longitudinal direction of the surface of a planar base (2) made of thermoplastic resin and has a large number of engaging elements (3) between the right and left walls (4) for preventing intrusion of resin, with linear seal bodies (5) arranged continuously in the length direction of the base (2) along the neighborhood of the top of each wall (4) for preventing intrusion of resin. When the surface for forming the engaging elements of the surface fastener (1) is mounted while directed toward the irregular surface of the foaming material molding cavity of a foam molding die (100), the linear seal bodies (5) fit snugly to the irregular surface while following the surface so long as the die has the same magnetic force as the prior art, and thereby seal performance is enhanced sharply between the die and the walls (4) for preventing intrusion of resin. As a result, the foaming resin material (200) does not intrude into the region for forming the engaging element even during foam molding, and the surface fastener (1) can be molded integrally and accurately at the predetermined position of the foaming material.
