Abstract:
A molding for vehicles, comprising: a molding body that has a groove-like portion along the longitudinal direction; an opposed surface that is provided at an end in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle inside wall of the molding body so as to extend along the longitudinal direction and face the opening of the groove-like portion; a catching surface that is provided to the vehicle inside wall so as to be located closer to the center in the longitudinal direction than the opposed surface and intersect the longitudinal direction; and an end cap that is equipped with a latching portion, which is positioned so as to face the catching surface of the molding body and is elastically deformable toward the opening of the groove-like portion. When the lid of the end cap is inserted to an insertion completion position where the lid of the end cap abuts on the end in the longitudinal direction of the molding body, the latching portion engages the catching surface, and prevents the end cap from being removed longitudinally from the molding body. Thus, the provided molding for vehicles can simultaneously achieve flexibility in installation and design of the molding body and end cap and mountability of the end cap.
