Abstract:
Disclosed is a molten glass duct structure which has a low stress load even when molten glass is circulated over a long time through a double-tube structure portion in which an outer tube and an inner tube are joined. The disclosed molten glass duct structure is a double-tube structure comprising an inner tube and an outer tube, with a support rib provided so as to be suspended between the inner tube and the outer tube. The support rib is provided with an inner straight section joined to the outer surface of the inner tube longitudinally of said inner tube, an outer straight section joined to the inner surface of the outer tube longitudinally of said outer tube, and a connection wall section formed between and integrating the inner straight section and the outer straight section. A recess portion is formed which reaches the ends of both straight sections, from one side edge of the connection wall section positioned between one side end of the inner straight section and one side end of the outer straight section, to the other side edge of the connection wall section positioned between the other side end of the inner straight section and the other side end of the outer straight section, and a protrusion is formed at both ends of the inner straight section and both ends of the outer straight section.
