Abstract:
[Problem] In continuous casting, to provide a product having excellent quality with high productivity.
[Solution] Molten metal from a melting furnace is agitated and driven by means of a Lorentz force resulting from an intersection of a line of magnetic force from a magnet and a direct current, and is fed to a mold while the quality of the molten metal is improved, or the molten metal immediately before solidification in the mold is agitated and driven by said Lorentz force to homogenize the temperature of the molten metal immediately before solidification in the mold, thereby ultimately obtaining a high-quality product and providing a means for cooling the magnet and maintaining the performance of the magnet.
