[Problem] To provide a low-cost, high-performance molten metal pump with excellent maintainability. [Solution] A molten metal pump (1) comprises: a bottomed cylinder (10) that has a side wall (11) and a bottom wall (12); a molten metal flow channel body (20) that has a molten metal flow channel (C) connecting an inlet (P1) and an outlet (P2) and is separate from the bottomed cylinder; and a molten metal drive unit (30) that has a magnetic field device (31) and an electric motor (32) and drives the molten metal in the molten metal flow channel (C). The inlet (P1) opens into the side surface of the molten metal flow channel body (20). The magnetic field device (31) has a plurality of permanent magnets (31a) arranged so that alternately different magnetic poles are aligned along the circumference of a shaft (33). The molten metal flow channel body (20) is removably attached to the bottomed cylinder (10) at a position below the bottomed cylinder (10), where the magnetic field lines (ML) from a first permanent magnet among the plurality of permanent magnets (31a) penetrate downward through the bottom wall (12) to the molten metal flow channel (C) and return from the molten metal flow channel (C) upward through the bottom wall (12) to a second permanent magnet adjacent to the first permanent magnet.
