Title:
MOLTEN SALT BATH FOR DISSOLVING WC-CO SUPER-HARD ALLOY, AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND RECOVERING TUNGSTEN AND COBALT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/045579
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a molten salt bath which is used to dissolve a WC-Co super-hard alloy and which is obtained by homogeneously melting a molten alkali nitrate in a molten alkali chloride, wherein at least two compounds selected from among the group consisting of MCl (M = Li, Na or K) are selected as the alkali chloride and at least one compound selected from among the group consisting of NNO3 (N = Li, Na or K) is selected as the alkali nitrate. The at least two alkali chloride compounds selected from among the group consisting of MCl (M = Li, Na or K) are contained at a concentration of 1 mol.% or higher, and preferably 1-20 mol.%, and the alkali nitrate is contained at a concentration of 99-80 mol.%. This molten salt bath dissolves a WC-Co super-hard alloy at a low temperature, reduces corrosion damage to a reactor plant vessel used to dissolve a WC-Co super-hard alloy, and enables industrial scale recovery of tungsten and cobalt.
