Abstract:
A money handling apparatus performs at least a money receiving operation. The money handling apparatus comprises a reception unit, a discrimination unit for performing at least a counting operation or a discriminating operation of the moneys let off from the reception unit, an internal storage unit for disabling the moneys stored therein to be directly extracted from the outside of a casing, an external accumulation unit for enabling the moneys accumulated to be directly extracted from the outside of the casing, a transfer unit for transferring the moneys between the individual units, and a control unit for controlling those individual units thereby to transfer the received moneys handled by the discrimination unit, selectively to the internal storage unit or the external accumulation unit. When a first money-receiving mode is selected with a selection signal, the control unit transfers and stores the received moneys to and in the internal storage unit. When a second money-receiving mode is selected, the control unit transfers and accumulates the received moneys to and in the external storage unit.
