Abstract:
A money processing device (teller machine 10) provided with a device body (banknote processing device 100) having a casing and a storage part (26, 30, 32, 34, 70), a sensing unit (sensor 101) for sensing that a movable portion of the device body has moved, an operation unit (touch panel 501), and a control unit (terminal control unit 502) for controlling the device body. The sensing unit senses that a movable portion has moved while the power supply of the device body is switched off. If the movable part has moved while the power supply of the device body is switched off, the control unit puts the device body in a prohibition mode in which processes pertaining to money are prohibited, and when an operator registered in advance performs a confirmation operation through the operation unit, the control unit disengages the prohibition mode.
