Abstract:
A monitoring apparatus, according to one embodiment of the present invention to resolve the problem, comprises: a saving unit for saving an image obtained from a camera; a screen unit for displaying the image; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the saving unit and the screen unit, wherein the screen unit displays an event detection area set on an area on the image corresponding to a desired monitoring area, and counts the number of events occurring in the event detection area and displays same as a numeral, when events occur in the desired monitoring area.
