Abstract:
In order to enable monitoring for the entry of persons into a restricted zone by means of a simple configuration, this monitoring device comprises an imaging device for capturing video of a space that includes at least a portion of a restricted area that has been set in advance within a facility. The monitoring device further comprises: (i) a person detection unit for detecting an image of a person appearing in the video; (ii) a movement route acquisition unit for acquiring movement route information indicating a movement route of the person, on the basis of a change in the position of the image of the person in the video over time; and (iii) an entry attribute assessment unit for assessing, in accordance with the movement route information, whether the person has a legitimate authorization to enter the restricted area.
